  • Greek Internships

    Greek Internships allow students to gain valuable hands-on experience, while helping to improve the Kent State Greek Community.  Gain experience:

    • Working in a professional office environment.
    • Planning and implementing programs/events.
    • Marketing and promoting programs/events.
    • Developing campus partnerships.
    • Public speaking.

     

    Internships are offered during the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters for members of fraternities and sororities.  If you are interested in applying to be a Greek Intern, please complete and return the Greek Intern Application.  Deadlines for returning the application are:

    • Spring Semester Internship: November 1st
    • Summer Intership: April 1st
    • Fall Semester Internship: July 1st

    These students have completed projects including:

    • Serving as a resource and advisor to officers of the Panhellenic, National Pan-Hellenic, and Interfraternity Councils
    • Developing an H1N1 awareness campaign for student leaders
    • Creation and ongoing use of @KentGreekLife on Twitter
    • Chairing the Go Greek Go Green initiative and student committee
    • Developing several officer resource manuals for new member educators, recruitment chairs, social chairs, and presidents
    • Planning and implementation of the 2009 Chapter Officer Leadership Conference and 2010 Spring Leadership Conference
    • Planning and implementation of the 2009 and 2010 Greek Closing Ceremonies program
    • Development of an inter/national visitor's guide to Kent Greek Life
